Interested in the NEIGHBORS project? Come read, listen and mingle!

Over at Seed Lab, we’ve been doing some informal writing together over the last few months. I’d like to invite anybody who’s been writing along, casually following, occasionally writing or just interested to a reading and meet-up at the Seed Lab on First Friday, 5/6, at 7. We’ll have an open mic reading of some of the work we’ve been doing in response to our pandemic story prompts.

Note to writers who have been working in virtual and in-person writing projects: YOU are doing great work! I hope some of you will consider reading to our small supportive audience.

We have 10 reading slots to fill. Here’s a sign up.

If you haven’t written anything yet but have been meaning to, choose a prompt, set the timer for 5 minutes and give it a go. Who knows what might happen!

Raw pieces welcome! If you’d like feedback as you revise your piece, feel free to email it to me. I can give feedback up to a day before the reading. Even if you don’t think you’ll read, bring a friend and come say hi. (Maybe pack your notebook you’ve been working in just in case?)

Also: I’ll also be doing one more free lunch write-in next month before we start looking at our summer writing events. Sign up if you’d like to join me! And, if you don’t already, consider following our pandemic prompt feed on Instagram for more journaling inspiration!
