I got to help out the Times’ national desk for a week, contributing to stories and helping out with coverage of the summit between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin that was held in the Anchorage in August 2025.
I helped first with a story about Alaska’s relationship to Russia since the cold war.
And then I helped with a story about Anchorage’s Ukrainian refugees.
