Old Anchorage houses and office buildings are a treasure trove of bathrooms like the one pictured above. Wallpaper. Yes. In the span of two days I ended up in these two, and I took it as a sign I should look for others. I would LOVE to start a little gallery.
The one above is from the Fish and Wildlife Building. Second floor. I wish I got to see the men’s room!
Here’s one in the KeyBank Plaza Building downtown that you use if you work at The Boardroom like I have been lately.
Look at the floor! And those accent tiles are gold. Yesssss!
Please send me more! (Email: juliaeomalley@gmail.com) And: just for fun, here’s what one of the bathrooms in my house looked like before I remodeled it. Pink toilets! (As soon as I get the towels washed, I’ll post a before and after!)
Love the two commercial bathrooms here, and your pink tub would have fit so nicely in the bathroom at the house we’re remodeling. I’m blogging about it here: https://pinkhouseremodel.wordpress.com and will email you two pictures.
I have a soft spot for gaudy ‘mid-century modern’ 60’s-70’s (including the 80’s in Alaska) decorating and furnishings. I love the chunky wood furniture, textured wallpaper, and fearless use of color. Love love love the fab-ugly bathroom pics!
