My journalism students in JPC 201 at UAA this semester decided to make their beat Fairview, one of Anchorage’s oldest, roughest, most diverse transitional neighborhoods. Most of them were unfamiliar with place before they started. Over the semester they mapped their assignments using Google Tour Builder, so readers could see the neighborhood through their eyes.
