I moved from Anchorage to Oregon nearly two years ago and haven’t missed the cold one bit. Now I kind of do. Thanks…I think… 😀
Nice job on the lanterns. If using things like berries that will all float to the top, you can also pour the water in an inch or 2 at a time. With weather this cold it doesn’t take long to freeze each level of water, and gives the kids progress to check on.

What a great and fun project! Adding food coloring to color the water is fun too!
